Biography

Dr. Amatre Gerald is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, Kyambogo University.

He possesses a PhD in Biology with a specialisation in Entomology from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda.

Dr. Amatre holds a Master of Science in Zoology, majoring in Entomology from Makerere University, Bsc. in Botany and Zoology from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Teacher Education from Kyambogo University, Kampala, Uganda.

Area of speciality

 Dr. Amatre has been involved in collaborative research on Plague surveillance and control with Uganda Virus Research Institute and U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in NorthWestern Uganda.
